Canes made of Rattan or Bamboo require care and feeding because they are natural fibers.  With use, they break.  While we sell a full line of these canes for the traditionalists, the handles must be made simple to keep the costs down.

One of my Disciplinarians/testers got sick of breaking them and having to buy new ones.  According to her: “They really don’t look sexy – – – no workmanship ………”  So we produced these.

The handles are hard to make (unless you want simple Curly Maple), but they look much better than something dipped and shrink wrapped.  The 24″ 5/16″ rod goes 3″ into the handle and is epoxied in. The rod won’t break and the handle won’t split.  Delrin is inert to all cleaners.  As the pictures show it’s very flexible and will give  a vicious sting if applied firmly.  It’s also good for drumming.
